The MI-HQ and Ypsilanti Health Center project transformed more than 60,000 square feet of the long-vacant former Eastern Michigan University College of Business into a vibrant community health and innovation hub in downtown Ypsilanti. Michigan Medicine delivers a three-story Ypsilanti Health Center providing primary care, mental health services, specialty care, and diagnostic services to an underserved community, along with lab and innovation space for Michigan Innovation Headquarters. Completed nine percent under budget, the project repositions a once-isolated building into an economic anchor that will bring hundreds of quality jobs to downtown Ypsilanti while setting a new standard for community-focused redevelopment through active local engagement, collaboration, and investment.
“C-L approaches complex projects with thoughtful solutions and steady leadership. Their commitment to safety, quality, and collaboration made them an outstanding partner, and I would not hesitate to work with them again.”
Bob Harris, Michigan Medicine
